Mission Statement

Hair restoration surgery has become very popular in recent years, partly driven by improvements in outcomes and partly because of increased awareness about the safety of the surgery.

There are a lot of options available for the consumer looking for hair restoration surgery. Though this might sound like a win-win scenario, we are getting to see a lot of very poorly planned surgeries and also poor outcomes. I have battled with hair loss and poor hair restoration surgery for 17 years and for the first time in 17 years, I am extremely happy with the state of my hair .

Hair restoration surgery is a very surgeon dependent surgery and it is of paramount importance to pick the right surgeon. It is also a unique surgery because  we have to deal with a very limited number of hair follicles to give an illusion of more hair.

Until technology improves, whereby cloning of hair becomes mainstream, the surgeon has to take extreme care in preserving the donor hair. On top of this, hair loss is progressive and in most instances, poorly planned surgery can cause more harm than good, which I have personally experienced.

We invest time and expertise

More than 40% is repair & correction

There are a lot of options available to address hair loss and surgery is just one of them. Hence, it is advisable that prospective clients insist on meeting the surgeon performing the surgery and address all available options before undergoing surgery.

As a team what we have understood over these past 14 years is the fact that FUE hair restoration surgery is more art than science. Whilst the emphasis during our earlier years was on speed and efficiency, now we focus more on attention to detail and creating near perfect outcomes where possible. We are also proud to proclaim that our yield rates on average are better than 85% which is one of the highest in the industry and our transaction rates are one of the lowest, hence providing exceptional value for money for us clients.

Also what we have noticed is that by placing more emphasis on creating age specific and face specific hairlines and density the satisfaction index among our clients has increased significantly and despite clients having very high expectations, we have been consistently able to better our clients expectations.

As a team more than 40% of our work is repair and correction work and we appreciate the fact that clients not only want a decent head of hair, they also appreciate the fact that the hair looks and feels natural with natural angles and hardly evidence of any work being undertaken. To that end we believe hair restoration surgery is a bit like fine watchmaking. One could possibly assemble a watch to read time or one can invest time and expertise and attention to detail needed to create a masterpiece that our clients can enjoy for a very long time.

The objective of this website is to provide sufficient information to the consumers that will help them decide on the best possible option for their hair loss and take a balanced view. We are in no way implying that we are the best. There are some phenomenal surgeons practising worldwide, whom I have had the privilege of training with and working under. I would like to believe that my team always give their best and our results are consistent with the best in the industry.

About Dr. Raghu Reddy

Dr Raghu Reddy is a world-renowned hair restoration surgeon and the pioneer of Third Generation Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

His interest in hair restoration dates back to his medical school years, when he battled significant hair loss. This motivated him to pursue further training in hair restoration after qualifying in surgical training in West of Scotland Deanery.

Having struggled with hair loss for several years, he is deeply empathetic towards his patients and passionate about his work. Having suffered the consequences of poor hair restoration surgery, his mission statement is to ensure that no patient evergoes through the agony he went through following a poor surgical outcome.

Dr Raghu Reddy is also a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and is highly recommended by patient advocacy platforms such as The Hair Restoration Network, Hairsite, and the American Hair Loss Association.

Having had first-hand experience of hair restoration surgery, both as a surgeon and a patient, he developed a keen understanding of the limitations of FUE and strip surgery (FUT). This enabled him to pioneer Third Generation FUE, a cutting-edge minimally invasive surgical technique.

To date, he has performed nearly 6,000 successful hair restoration procedures, both in the UK and overseas. Using Third Generation FUE, he has been able to achieve undetectable results with impeccable hairlines, near natural density, perfect angles, and temple angle closure.

My Battle with Hair Loss

I have had a long-drawn and frustrating battle with hair loss. Genetically predisposed to balding, I started losing hair when I was in medical school. I vividly remember those days, when I would be consumed by anxiety at the thought of being a twenty-year-old with a receding hairline. From being an outgoing twenty-something who enjoyed football and ballroom dancing, I withdrew into a shell and spent most of my time obsessing about how to hide my baldness or avoiding people entirely.

Light at the end of the tunnel

It was not until my final year in college that I learned that there were medications to address my problem. I was prescribed Minoxidil and Propecia, and though a significant amount of damage had already been done, it did halt progression. Though I would have liked a full head of hair, I learned to live with my receding hairline. Surgical solutions at that time offered extremely poor outcomes, and medications could only do so much.

The beginning of a long struggle

Some years later, I heard of a clinic in Europe that claimed to have developed a new technique that offered far better results than FUE and FUT. Carried away by my excitement, I paid €15,000 for 1,000 grafts without even meeting the surgeon, hoping that the clinic and surgeon had my best interests at heart.

The postoperative period was uneventful, and I returned to work in a week. However, in the third month, I noticed that there was a huge gap between the area that was transplanted and my existing hair. I was suffering from significant shock loss due to the trauma associated with the surgery. When I called up the clinic, they reassured me that this was common side-effect and would reverse overtime.

However, by nine months, not only had the shock loss not reversed, but the transplanted follicles also looked weak and wispy.

To add insult to injury, my donor area was ravaged and there were very few good follicles left to do any meaningful correction surgery. I thought I would have to forever live with the outcomes of a poor surgery.

A silver lining

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. And I was right – this unfortunate event shaped my entire career.

I immersed myself in hair restoration surgery and met with surgeons all over the world. I was keen to better my skills in hair restoration in general and FUE in particular. I spoke to some of the best surgeons in the industry and assembled a highly motivated and ethical team..

And as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and after eight years of ridiculous hairstyles and hair thickening fibres and other concealers, I had a corrective procedure done following all the principles of FUE my team and I had mastered over the past few years.

A new purpose

Needless to say, this entire experience has made me exceptionally empathetic towards my patients and has pushed me to never compromise on quality. We ensure that the patient is fully informed of the scope and limitations of the surgery, so that they are never disappointed with the results. Because of our patient-friendly approach, advanced technology, and commitment to providing best-in-industry outcomes, I can safely say we have some of the highest satisfaction scores in the industry.
